Mumbai: The press interaction for Sooni Taraporevala's film Little Zizou was a congregation of all Parsis in Mumbai. The special event was hosted by renowned screenplay writer Sooni.
Little Zizou is a film that has almost every Parsi actor in the industry one can name including Bollywood hunk John Abraham who is half Parsi.
"I am very very proud that Sooni has made this film," said John who was present at the event.
For Sooni -- who has written screenplays for films like Salaam Bombay and The Namesake -- making this film was to give an insider's view to the Parsi community and something that may break the old Parsi stereotype.
"The film depicts the Parsi community the way they are in terms of their culture and taste. And I hope I can break the stereotype we see on screen, said Sooni.
With a cast like Boman Irani, Shernaz Patel and Imaad Shah the film revolves around the clash between two Parsi families - one Parsi extremist and the other liberal in nature. And this is shown from a child's perspective played by Sooni's son Jahan.
"It was Sooni's script that I agreed to do the film," said Imaad.
With the kind of confidence in the film that the cast has, here's hoping even the audience feels the same.
