Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh: Chandrayaan 1, India’s first unmanned moon mission, is ready for launch in Sriharikota, off the Andhra Pradesh coast. India, with the lunar mission, will join an elite group of nations with the know-how to reach space and also flaunt its economic clout and scientific knowledge. The mission will look for an isotope which could be a valuable source of energy in the future, precious metals and water.
