Mumbai: The class of Mumbai’s Queen Mary's High School may look like an ordinary in a normal school, but it has taken a leap forward in parent-teacher interactivity.
The school introduced a software that will give the parents an online update of their child’s progess.
“It's going to benefit both the student and the parents. Parents can find out about the next day's homework and if there is an unscheduled holiday, the parent can log on or call to find out," Principal, Queen Mary's High School, Gangotri Guin says.
But, parent's interaction isn't just restricted to this website. The software has an added feature of voice identification, which gives each parent an individual identity and cannot be misused.
The school excel software with it's Interactive Voice Response Technology helps parents get both the child's academic performance as well as interact with teachers regularly and get all other critical info about the child as well as the school all this with the help of just a click or a phone call.
Though the facility has been provided free for the first year. There will soon be a fee on it. But, parents aren't complaining
“It's a good feature we don't mind paying extra,” a parent, Sunita Bajpai says.
The feature also helps parents track whether their child is playing hockey from school or copying his homework from someone else.
