New Delhi: The longlist for the Tata First Book Award 2012 was announced on Thursday. The winner will be announced on Sunday, November 4, at the Literature Live festival in Mumbai.

Following are the books which were named in the longlist:

The winner will be announced on Sunday, November 4, at the Literature Live festival in Mumbai.

Literature Live! is first Mumbai LitFest was launched in November 2010. It took place over three days at the National Centre for Performing Arts. The response from Mumbaikars during the three-day fest was truly enthusiastic and it was clear from the level of audience participation and the widely expressed wish for more such events, that Literature Live! was answering a long felt need.
