MNS sticks posters targetting Big B

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan continues to be the target of the anti-north Indian protesters in Mumbai with fresh posters attacking the Bollywood actor having been pasted in the city.

Refusing to back down from their aggressive anti-north Indian stance, Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Wednesday put up the posters.

The posters depict a veiled Bachchan saying he abides by the law, but then celebrating his son's wedding with pomp and noise in Juhu — despite it being a silent zone.

While one poster was put up at Juhu near the Bachchan residence, the other was put up in Bandra, not far from where Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray lives.

“We're putting it up to show how some people say they abide by the law, and then go around making a noise during their son's wedding,” Member MNS Student Wing Akhil Chitre said.

Last week, Shiv Sena dragged Bachchan into the outsider debate by publishing an article targeting him in its mouthpiece Saamna.

The article said: "There are hundreds of people who become stars in Mumbai. But when the question of protecting your culture arises, even superstars like Amitabh back out."
