Click to play videoMumbai: The countdown to the Big Fat Bollywood wedding has begun. Aishwarya and Abhishek’s sangeet was held on Wednesday at the Bachchan residence in Juhu.
Amitabh Bachchan was dressed in a white crystal-studded sherwani played the perfect host, welcoming guests at the gates of his home Prateeksha.
He was accompanied by close friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
The sangeet guest list included Anil Ambani, Subroto Roy, Ajay Devgan and Kajol, Preity Zinta, Sanjay Dutt, Karan Johar and Danny Dezongpa. Director Ram Gopal Verma and members of the Kapoor family were also spotted at the do.
Entry was strictly by invitation only and despite tight security arrangements, thousands of fans and media persons showed up at the venue.
The sangeet started at 9:00 pm (IST) and lasted till the wee hours of the morning.
And on Thursday the action will shift to Aishwarya Rai's Bandra house La Mer where the mehendi will be held.
