Poll dance
By elections are scheduled in Madhya Pradesh and Nagaland. Polling in MP will be held in 10 Lok Sabha seats lying vacant following the expulsion of MPs in the cash-for-query scam. Udaipura constituency in Bhopal, vacated by Rampal Singh will also go to polls on Thursday. By-election to Dimapur assembly constituency in Nagaland and Tuensang Sadar-II seat will also be held.
Money matters
It’s a big day for West Bengal and Rajasthan as well. Budget session begins in the Bengal assembly and state finance minister Asim Dasgupta will present the budget on March 16. In Rajasthan too, Chief minister Vasundhara Raje - who also holds the finance portfolio - will present the fourth Budget of her government today.
Yes, minister
The BJP Legislature Party leader BC Khanduri will take the oath as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in Dehradun. Seventy-two-year-old Khanduri is expected to prove his majority in the House by March 20. The BJP had won 34 out of the 69 assembly seats in the polls held on February 21.
