The Nithari accused have a date in court. Accused Moninder Singh Pandher, Surendra Koli and Simranjeet Kaur's judicial remand runs out today. They'll be produced before a special CBI judge.

Tata’s payback time

In the world of business, Tata Steel will make the payment for its $12 billion takeover of the European steel giant Corus. It's the final step in the largest overseas acquisition by any Indian firm after Tata made the winning bid for Corus in January. Tata Steel has become the fifth largest steel company in the world after the acquisition.

Money matters in Delhi Assembly

The Budget Session of Delhi Assembly starts today. The House will be in session till April 23. The session is expected to be stormy, coming as it is soon after the severe drubbing for the ruling Congress in the MCD polls. The Opposition BJP is likely to step up demands for the resignation of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Second phase campaigning ends

Campaigning for the second phase of Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh ends this evening. The polls will be held on April 13 in 58 Assembly seats spread over 10 districts. The first phase of the 7-stage elections was held on April 7.
