Mumbai: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is known for serious hard hitting cinema with movies like ‘Fashion’ and ‘Chandni Bar’, is now all set to go the humour way with his new film ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’. On Saturday, the cast and crew of ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’ came together to unveil the first look of the film. Starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Omi Vaidya in the lead, the film is a romantic comedy, a fresh genre for Madhur.

Madhur said that romantic comedy was one genre that he always thought he’ll try and decided to make an out and out comedy. “Tabu was the one who always used to tell me from ‘Chandni Bar’ days as to why don’t I make comedy because of the way I am always relaxed on the sets and the way I crack jokes,” he said.

The film revolves around three friends who are desperately looking for love in their life. The cast of the movie insists that its not a brainless comedy but a slice of life humour. “This is actually a slice of life where the actors are not trying to make you laugh but the situations are funny,” said Ajay Devgan, lead actor of the movie. He also stated that the film brings across situations where the character is emotional but the situation would be funny.

Emraan Hashmi, who also plays the lead in the movie, said that Madhur has added the realism factor in the movie, which is the filmmaker's forte, making it different from the regular romantic comedies that are generally fairy tales.

The movie is scheduled to hit the theatre screens on January 28th, 2011.
