Shajapur: A man, who had earlier served 10 years in jail for raping a minor, has been arrested again for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl in Sunera village about 10 km away from the district headquarters, police said on Saturday. The incident took place on Friday, when the minor girl was sleeping with her parents in a hut on their farm.

The accused, identified as Gokul Bagri (40), first gagged the victim, quietly took her away from the hut and then raped her, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) RK Mishra told reporters. After committing the crime, he dumped the victim near her hut and when her parents spotted the girl crying with pain they informed the police about the incident.

Earlier in 2000, Bagri was jailed for 10 years for raping a four-year-old girl, police said adding that he had been released from jail in 2010. Further investigation is on.
