Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Minorities Commission chief Munaf Hakim has reportedly written a letter to Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde asking for the Parbhani, Nanded and Jalna blast cases to be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
In the letter that Hakim wrote last week, he said that the blasts may have been carried out by Hindu groups. He accused the police and the Maharashtra ATS of having overlooked crucial details.
"It is pertinent to note that during a search, Nanded Police recovered namaz caps, fake beard and Muslim attire from the house of RSS member Laxman Kondawar, but neither local police nor ATS has shown seriousness about these vital clues," he wrote.
