Nashik: Fed up of being stalked since November 2012 by two unidentified persons, a 43-year-old woman committed suicide at her residence here, police said on Friday. Nirmala Bhaskar Shinde, a widow, who was staying with her 17-year-old nephew Roshan Pawar after her husband's death, took the extreme step on Thursday at her house in Nashik, they said.
The incident came to limelight when Roshan returned home and saw her hanging in a room. She as being allegedly stalked by two persons in a car and on a motorcycle on her way back home from her workplace at a Satpur-based industrial unit, police said.
The victim was also being harassed with frequent calls on her mobile by the stalkers, they said. On January 2, she had lodged a written complaint against them with Satpur police station and provided them the vehicle and mobile numbers of the duo.

The family of the woman has alleged that inaction and negligence on part of the police claimed her life.
