The RX5 manual is priced at Rs 17.67 lakh and the RX7 auto at Rs 19.67 lakh ex-Mumbai. Both the variants are powered by a 2696cc 5-cylinder common rail direct injection diesel engine but with varying power outputs – the 6-speed manual gets 165PS while the 5-speed auto has 186PS.

The automatic transmission gets a full time 4WD system with torque on demand while the manual allows one to select between the 4H and 4L drive mode for rigorous off-road sessions.
