Mumbai: Mahindra and Mahindra have launched their mini-Xylo, the Quanto in India.
The company has priced it at Rs 5.82 lakh for the C2 trim, Rs 6.35 lakh for the C4, Rs 6.86 lakh for C6 and Rs 7.36 lakh for the top-end C8, ex-Thane.
Powered by a new 1493cc twin-turbo engine making 100PS of power and 240Nm of torque, the Quanto gets a 5-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd unveiled the much-awaited Quanto SUV. The Quanto will be available nationally at Mahindra dealerships, with four distinct and attractive variants - C2, C4, C6 and C8.

The Quanto price range starts from Rs 5.82 lac (ex-showroom Thane) for the base C2 model, to Rs 7.36 lac (ex showroom Thane) for the fully loaded top end C8 model.

All the Quanto variants are powered by a 1.5 litre mCR100 diesel engine giving and a massive 240nm of torque.

Quanto, with a sub 4m length and a turning radius of 5.4m, is innovatively packaged with a 5 2 seating arrangement.

The mCR100 engine is claimed to have India's first twin stage turbo technology for maximum power.

The Quanto boasts of a mileage of 17.2 KMPL.

The Mahindra Quanto is touted to come packed with state of the art technology and features.

The features include the Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), Intellipark Reverse Assist, 2 DIN music system with CD, MP3, USB & Aux in, and micro hybrid technology.

The Quanto is available in 4 exciting variants and 6 elegant colours to suit a variety of tastes.

It comes in Fiery Black, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Java Brown, Diamond White and Rocky Beige colours.

It comes with a two tone granite themed dashboard.

It also includes 5 bottle holders, magazine pockets and under-seat storage.

It also has 2-DIN music system and under seat storage.

The Quanto boasts host of safety features including Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, Intellipark Reverse Assist, and Engine Immobiliser.

The Mahindra Quanto is powered by a new 1493cc twin-turbo engine.
Mahindra claims this is the world's smallest twin turbo engine and has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 17.21kmpl.
The interiors boast of the same ambience like the updated Xylo. Mahindra have also added twin airbags, engine immobilizer, ABS and reverse assist to the C8 trim.
This is Mahindra's first sub 4-metre ladder frame SUV. There are plans of plonking in a bigger engine aligned to a 4-wheel drive system.
Barring the C2, all other trims get the company’s Micro Hybrid technology.
Based on market maturity, the Quanto will be exported to Chile, South Africa and other European countries.
