Chennai: Critically acclaimed Malayalam film 'Cocktail' will be remade into Tamil with actress Radhika Apte among others comprising the cast.
Producers Spellbound Films Inc said Telugu star Randhir and Apte have been roped in for the Tamil remake of the Malayalam original, which starred Jayasurya, Anoop Menon and Samvurtha Sunil, among others.
The title of the movie and the rest of the cast would be announced later but canning of the film will start this month, the producers said in a statement, adding that plans are afoot to also produce it in Telugu.

Apte, known for her role in Hindi film 'Shor in the City', had starred opposite multi-lingual star Prakash Raj in his directorial debut in Tamil, 'Dhoni.'
'Cocktail' deals with the story of a couple blackmailed into doing things by a man who claims to have taken their daughter hostage.
