Malaysian coach tests negative for H1N1

Hyderabad: The condition of the Malaysian coach, quarantined with swine flu-like symptoms at the World Badminton Championships here, was stable Wednesday.

"He had no fever in last 36 hours. It is a good indication, suggesting he does not have the H1N1 virus," Badminton World Federation (BWF) chief operating officer Thomas Lund said. "His condition is stable."

The coach had complained of sore throat and fever on Monday evening and was admitted to the Government Chest hospital. His test results are expected Thursday.

"We would also like to make it clear that no player or official has complained of flu symptoms," Lund said.
