Nashik, Mumbai: Following the arrest of sadvhi pragyadevi and her two associates, anti-terror squad (ATS) investigators are hot on trail of the other suspects in the Malegaon blasts case.

Their trail has stopped at a Pune residence of retired major Ramesh Upadhye, political head of a right wing organisation Abhinav Bharat.

His reluctant son confirmed to CNN IBN that the ATS had visited them.

The ATS has also detained another Abhinav Bharat activist from Bhopal, where he has fled.

The investigation has also put the focus on Bhonsla Military School in Nashik and Nagpur though the ATS is not saying anything officially, the school's chairman has told CNN-IBN that the Nagpur campus was indeed given to Bajrang Dal for training.

Bhonsla official said, “Few years back, we had given out our campus to be used for a 10 day camp conducted by the Bajrang Dal. The ATS had come here and carried out an inquiry. They were satisfied with our record and did not come back again.”

Bhonsla's association with right wing Hindu organisations goes back to 2000.

A statement of captain Santha Bhate of the merchant navy, recorded during the Nanded blast investigation in 2006 said that a 45 day camp was organised by Bajrang Dal in May 2000 with the help of Bhonsala Military school faculty and as many as 115 Bajrang Dal activistis from Karnataka, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra were imparted training in handling firearms, short stick defence technique, and combating techniques.

This camp was also attended by Nanded blast accused Himanshu Panse and his associates.

However, the school denies it has any hand in the Malegaon blasts.

Police are also probinig the antecedents of Abhinav Bharat. More detentions and arrests from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Pune are also likely soon.
