Kolkata: Yet another person bore the brunt of the high temper of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday after he questioned her and asked her to deliver on her promises. Mamata, in her trademark style, branded the man a Maoist and immediately had him arrested.

Mamata was addressing a rally at Belpahari in West Midnapore when the incident happened.

Shiladitya Chowdhary from the Nayagram village, who asked the Chief Minister to look at the plight of the farmers in the state, has now been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Earlier, Mamata had staged a walkout of a CNN-IBN show after some students of Jadavpur University and Presidency University questioned her on the state of affairs in West Bengal.

Branding the students Maoists, Mamata was later heard clarifying that her anger only meant that she was a transparent leader and not a "diplomat".
