Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee was admitted to a city nursing home in the wee hours of Thursday soon after she complained of breathlessness and chest pain.
Her condition was stated to be stable now, party general secretary Mukul Roy told PTI.
Mamata has on Wednesday attended a joint rally with Congress to protest the police lathicharge on a Trinamool dharna led by her on Monday night at Singur in Hooghly district.
The dharna was organised to oppose the West Bengal government's acquisition of farm land for Tata Motors project.
