Mamata Banerjee, Derek O Brien to attend Pranab Mukherjee's swearing in

New Delhi: Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will reach Delhi on Tuesday to attend Pranab Mukherjee’s swearing in ceremony as President.

Apart from Mamata, other TMC leaders – Kunal Ghosh, Derek O Brien and Mukul Roy will also take part in the July 25 ceremony.

Mamata had congratulated Mukherjee over telephone after his victory over PA Sangma. Mukherjee had requested her to attend his swearing in function as President on July 25.

Mamata had congratulated Mukherjee over telephone after his victory over PA Sangma.

"Responding to his request, I agreed to attend the ceremony,," the Trinamool Congress chief said.

She also invited him to visit West Bengal first after winning the elections.

Mamata, who had initially opposed the candidature of Mukherjee, had announced her party's support to him two days before the election on July 19.
