West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has released popular Bengali folk band Bhoomi's new album 'Desh Jurrey'.
After the success of the group's album 'Gaan Doriyay' released prior to last year's Durga Puja festival, Desh Jurrey' features eight songs translated in Bengali from different regional languages.
Bhoomi is scheduled to leave for Australia to perform in a series of programmes.

Accepting a request from the chief minister, Bhoomi members Soumitra and Surojit agreed to make their next album on songs of Nazrul Islam which would be released as the group's tribute to the poet.
