Mammootty to act in 'Praise the lord'

Mammootty had been exceptional when ever he was asked to don characters from novelettes and literature. Following the tradition for going after him to don great characters is debutante director Shibu Gangadharan, who will have him play the lead of the film based on the famous novel by Zakharia 'Praise the Lord'.

Mammootty will be a central Travancore based farmer in this film who is totally ignorant about the technological as well as cultural changes happening outside his village. The movie to be produced by Manoj Menon in the banner of reels magic will be on sets by the end of this year.

To be scripted by T P Rajeevan, the movie will be a different affair and will present another satirical look into the world's happenings.As per the current schedules Mammootty is expected to join the sets , once he completes his 'Jawan of Vellimala, his maiden production.
