Jaipur: The abduction of a two-year-old boy triggered a massive search operation that ended in an FIR against the boy's father in Jaipur on Thursday.
Yashaswi Jain’s father had kidnapped his son to pay off huge debts.
Yashaswi went missing from his home in Jaipur's Kishanpole bazar while playing in the evening on Thursday.
After the family's failed efforts to look for the boy for hours, his father reportedly filed a report with the police.
The police swung into action only to discover it was the child's father who'd hidden him at an acquaintance's place hoping to extract ransom from his father.
SP (North), Jaipur, Ashok Naruka said, “After sustained interrogation we reached to the conclusion that the child must have been in custody of some acquaintance.”
Just when the boy's father Vikas was all set to demand ransom from the boy's grandfather and his father Ashok Jain the assistant secretary at the Chief Minister's office, the police grew suspicious of his role in the incident and cracked the case…
Heavily indebted through cricket betting Vikas had conspired to kidnap his own son.
“Hoping to clear off my debts once and for all, I did this, “ cries Vikas.
The child is now back with his family the police have registered a case.
