Police say the accused, Yogesh Sharma, brutally murdered his daughters using an axe.
Sharma was caught trying to dispose the bodies of four-year-old Bharti and one-year-old Priyanshi in a drain.
While the motive behind the crime is unclear, police say relations within the family had been strained for a while. Rajesh's in-laws allege he routinely beat up his wife and wanted to re-marry.
SPRA Greater Noida, S K Verma said, "He was trying to dispose off the bodies in a drain but people saw him. We have arrested him and have recovered the axe used in the crime."
