New Delhi: The Capital city of India is becoming the most intolerant city in the country, as Delhi roads continue to be unsafe.
While 11 school children were injured in two separate accidents, one motorist lost his life to road rage.
A bunch of youngsters thrashed a 35-year-old property dealer to death in Saket, South Delhi last night -- this after his car brushed against the motorcycle one of the youth was driving.
Jeetendra Pawar, a resident of Mehrauli, died before he could be taken to hospital. He is said to be related to former Delhi Mayor Sukhbir Singh.
"Two motorcyclists hit him at the junction. After some distance, they again obstructed his way. They also called in more people and threw stones on my son's face and hit him on his chest," says the inconsolable father of the victim, Ram Chandra.
Police have arrested four of the youths while one of them is absconding. Delhi has witnessed many incidents of road rage in the past.
DCP Anil Shukla said that it was a minor skirmish which led to a major incident. He added that the four boys who had been arrested were being questioned, while the police was searching for the fifth boy.
