Udaipur: A pump operator, Narayan, has been trapped in a 90-metre deep tunnel in Udaipur, and the rescue operation is in full swing for the sixth day now. His condition has been reported as stable.
Narayan, who has been in the tunnel for 81 hours was trapped when a portion of the tunnel collapsed on Thursday. After three days of continued efforts, a four-inch pipe was pushed through the debris allowing food and a torch to Narayan.
The tunnel is being constructed for an irrigation project to supply water to Udaipur city from Devas village.
