Putting an end to guessing games, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies announced on December 6 that the music of 'Kadal', composed by AR Rahman, will be launched on December 17.

Expectations are high on the audio of 'Kadal', especially after Rahman launched the single number 'Nenjukulle...' during a show on MTV recently. A host of young singers have crooned in Rahman's music in 'Kadal', and the audio rights have been bagged for a whopping price by Sony Music.

Starring Gautham Karthik and Tulasi Nair in lead roles, 'Kadal' is about the lives and sufferings of fishermen in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. There is a beautiful love story too, it is learnt.
