London: Apart from the usual riot of colors on the ramp, this show was unique. On Friday, Manish Arora became the first Indian designer to showcase his designs at London's Victoria and Albert Museum as part of his Fashion in Motion series. His show also coincided with the on-going India Now festival in the city.

“We are very happy to have Manish here especially with the India Now festival on,” said curator of Fashion in Motion at V&A, Oriole Cullen.

While most of the clothes have been featured in his shows in the past, the main draw was the two designs signifying the relationship between India and London - especially designed for this show.

“I never thought I'd have a show here so soon. The collection is most of what I have shown in the past except the two India and London creations as it fits so well with the theme,” said Manish Arora.

The designer who made a spectacular debut two years ago at the London Fashion week will give it a miss this year and is heading to Paris instead.
