New Delhi: The London Fashion Week is the first major international fashion show this year and though the Indian presence is small in number, it certainly is creating a colourful impact, thanks mainly to Manish Arora's 2007 autumn-winter collection.
Arora's line, which he termed as his vision of the future, in true Arora’s style was bold and flamboyant but with a difference.
Black is his new dominant colour and he teamed it up with flaming orange, purple and his ramp as usual became a burst of colours.
“There's a lot of black this time. Of course, there's a lot of colour as well but the base fabric of every garment is black. I thought it was high time I do something different for myself, not for anybody else,” said Arora.
With inspiration from the solar system for the motifs, Arora established his vision of the future.
