Manohar Parrikkar removed as Goa PAC chief

Goa: There has been a new twist in the illegal mining scam in Goa as Speaker Pratapsinh Rane reconstituted the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Saturday.

Manohar Parrikkar has been removed as the PAC chief and BJP's Vijay Khot has been made the new PAC Chairman.

It is believed that Khot will join the Congress in a couple of weeks.

The Manohar Parrikkar-headed PAC had given a report on the mining scam indicting Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat.
