Lalgarh has been an epicentre of Maoist violence for the past several days and many areas have been declared no-entry zone for security forces.
Commando forces, too, have resumed their operations to reclaim Lalgarh after a day of rest.
Security forces are now aiming to set up base at Ramgar police station as part of their two-pronged approach.
Once captured, the forces will surround the 42 villages in the zone which had banned police entry for the past eight months.
Nearly 1800 people have taken refuge at a relief camp in Peerakata near Lalghar.
They have fled their home and say they fear torture by police for their alleged links with Maoists.
Many of them are daily wage earners who lost their livelihood. Children can't go to school because their schools have been closed for an indefinite period.
