Pretoria: Diego Maradona says nerves must be getting to Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger for questioning the Argentine players' behavior toward opponents and referees.
Argentina faces Germany on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the World Cup — a repeat of the bad-tempered match at the same stage four years ago that Germany won on penalties.
Maradona mockingly asked during a TV interview on Wednesday whether Schweinsteiger was "nervous" and said his players were looking forward to "revenge."
The end of the 2006 quarterfinal was marred by a scuffle between players and staff, and Schweinsteiger said it was important that Germany ignored any "provocations" in the match at Cape Town on Saturday.
