Sources in the Government have told CNN-IBN that a proposal is being sent to the Government to change the present market regulator system to ensure better transparency.
SEBI has been asked to give a report on what kind of changes are required.
The members also questioned the manner in which price bands were being fixed for IPOs and asked if the method was totally above board.
