New Delhi: Business Prakash Loyel doesn’t make any big business move without consulting his astrologer first. As Loyel receives advice on how to expand his cloth business, he says its experience and not just blind faith that brings him to an astrologer.

"I won't say every time, but on two-three occasions their advice has helped me. That strengthened my faith,” says Loyel.

Astrologer Nagarjuna Sharma receives several clients each week. They come seeking advice on their company name, logo, colours and in some cases, even on business partners and clients.

“The bankers are approaching us giving the particulars of the person who wants a loan. Mainly they want to know whether this man is going to repay or not,” says Nagarjuna.

These business gurus charge over Rs 5,000 for their predictions. When compared to Rs 500 for a regular horoscope, it's clear that for corporate clients, advice comes at a corporate price.

“They can earn good money because if they give a good prediction,” says Head Astrological & Vedic Research Foundation, M Laxminarayana.

Attracted by the high returns, many young people are considering astrology as a career choice. This year, over 300 students enrolled in the post-graduate astrology programme at Potti Sriramulu Telugu University.
