Maruti standoff: Workers-management talks today

Gurgaon: The management and the workers at the Manesar plant of Maruti are likely to meet for a round of talks on Monday.

The talks are being held in bid to end the 11-day long deadlock between the sides.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government has been making attempts to broker peace.

The agitating workers want 44 permanent employees reinstated without any inquiry.

However, the management has refused to adhere to the demands of the employees.

On Saturday, the workers had agreed to abide by the Punjab and Haryana High Court order to protest at least 100 metre outside the factory walls.
