Srinagar: A massive windstorm hit Jammu and Kashmir damaging several houses and other property in Srinagar. The state government announced a school holiday.

The police in Srinagar have evacuated many tourists from the Dal Lake.

A group of tourists in Pahalgam had a narrow escape when a tree fell on the hut they were staying in. Reports say the windstorm will recede on Tuesday.
