Click to play videoMeerut: With an MBA degree from Meerut, 22-year-old Hamidullah was looking forward to his trip home to Kabul but his plans for a celebration dinner were tragically cut short.
Hamidullah and his two friends Naseer and Gausuddin were on their way to dinner when they were stopped by three youths in a white Tata Safari. One of them, got out of the car and fired his pistol at Hamid, killing him on the spot.
When Naseer tried to stop them, the three opened fire on him as well and then fled.
Naseer has now been shifted to a hospital in Delhi but is still critical.
Police say the three assailants objected to Hamid and Naseer's romantic relationship with their sisters and had also warned the two to stay away from the girls.
A case has been registered and the police are still on the lookout for the three suspects.
