Mumbai: A new film titled Rocky is in the making. But make no mistake. There is no Sylvester Stallone or Sanjay Dutt, nor is it an action film.
When one hears the name Rocky, one thinks of the character made popular by Stallone in not one but five films. Closer home in Bollywood, Dutt made his debut as Rocky in 1981.
Now, it is actor Zayed Khan who is the new Rocky but this time a romantic one. And he is all set to combat questions on how his role will be different from the earlier ones.
"Firstly everyone has this fixed idea that Rocky is about boxing. But my movie is not about boxing," Zayed said.
Zayed accepts it is tough to get over the action image of Rocky made popular by Stallone and Dutt. And so, he has made sure that his co-stars also echo his sentiments.
"I think he fits into the character beautifully. I think if Rocky is going to be made again then people are going to think about Stallone, Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan," actress Minissha Lamba said.
Along with Zayed and Minissha, the film also stars Isha Sharvani. Currently, the three actors are busy shooting for a promotional video.
But will the romantic Rocky rock like the action one? We will know later this year when the film opens at cinemas.
