Meet Shillong's Bob Dylan: rockstar Lou Majaw

Shillong: Low Majaw started his career in the Kolkata in the Sixties. In the 70's, he was part of the Great Society, a band that would play only original music and nothing else.

Signature hot pants and guitar in hand, Lou Majaw looks like the rockstar that he is.

Majaw, a self taught musician, has been spreading the spirit of music in Shillong for the last six decades.

What would make a permanent impression on the rest of India would be the concerts, that Majaw decided to organise in Shillong, in 1972, to celebrate the birthday of his idol Bob Dylan. Majaw hasn't stopped doing for the last 37 years now.
