New Delhi: In a shocking incident in Bhopal's Chattarpur district a 16-year-old girl was set on fire by four miscreants at her house.
The girl had allegedly rebuked them for making advances towards her. The four men entered her house forcibly when she was alone and doused her with kerosene. The girl is in a critical condition and has been admitted to the district hospital.
"Three to four persons entered my house and threw kerosene on me and ran away after setting me on fire," the girl said in her statement to the police.
The four accused have been identified and a case of attempt to murder has been filed against them.
SHO Chhatarpur, Rakesh Pankhwar says, "We have identified the culprits and we will arrest them by Friday evening. A case has been registered under Section 307 against them."
The doctor at the district hospital who is treating the girl, Dr KK Chaturvedi says, "The girl has suffered from 60 per cent burn injuries."
