Hong Kong: Stock markets are taking a beating these days but men behind them have a different stress buster.
Graham McNeil has volunteered to take a few hits though, one of a dozen finance professionals who will step into the ring as part of a charity event in Hong kong.
“It was actually my boss at work who sent an e-mail through that said is anyone stupid enough to do this, and I only I was apparently,” says Graham McNeill.
The fighters have endured months of 6-day a week training, on top of long days at the office.
at 49, hedge fund trader Nissim Tse is the oldest of the competitors he says the physical exertion has an upside.
“This is a great way to relax, get your frustration out when the markets is down, you sleep better at night,” says Nissim Tse.
A week before the fight, the men gather their final weigh in before the bouts in the six months they have been training, they've shed the pounds while Hong Kong’s benchmark index has shed plenty of points still its all smiles here as the suits come off and the men step on the scales.
Here we are on the big night, each fighter gets 3 2-minute rounds to knock out their opponent. That’s a pretty intense six minutes tables at the charity event go for up to $ 7700 hundred. Most were sold before this month's steep slide in the stock markets.
In the boxing ring, just like the stock markets, there will always be winners and losers.
