New Delhi A 12-year old mentally challenged girl was raped by a 27-year old man in East Delhi on Saturday night.
“He raped my daughter. I could not hear her because the fans were switched on. When I did hear her scream, I screamed for help,” says the victims mother.
The accused is a bus driver, who is absconding. Both the accused and the minor lived in rented apartments in the same building in the New Kondli area.
The victim can neither hear nor talk. She was apparently raped in the bathroom in her house. The man escaped despite the victims' relatives’ efforts to nab him.
Through this week, instances of murder, robbery, stabbing have been reported from Noida, Gurgaon and Delhi.
