Michael Pattamanas last rites today

ALUVA: The funeral ceremony of late Aluva Municipal Councillor Michael Pattamana (70) will be held at his residence on Railway Station Road here on Friday at 4 pm. He will be buried in the family tomb at St Francis Xavier Church cemetery near Power House Junction here.

Michael Pattamana, son of late George Pattamana (former Municipal Chairman) died at the Medical Trust Hospital on Tuesday night.

He held the post of principal at St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam till 1996. He also served as the Zonal president of  Lions Club International and was later the President and Secretary of Lions Club of Aluva.

Michael was one of the founding leaders of ASHA (Alumni of St Mary’s High School, Aluva). He was known for his immense contribution to the society in different fields.

Michael was elected to the municipal council representing Ward XI as a councillor last year. He is survived by wife Valsa Michael (former teacher at St Francis HSS), sons Nevin, Melvin and Salvin, brother Geroge, Antony and Andrews, daughters-in-law Sneha, Clemys and Vijeta.

The body of Michael Pattamana which had been kept at Carmel Hospital morgue will be brought to his residence at Pattamana House near Railway Station Road at 8 am and will be placed at Municipal Office premises for the public to pay tributes at 10 am. A Condolence meeting will be held after the burial.
