Mumbai: Punjabi pop singer Mika, accused by Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant of molestation and assault, has filed an anticipatory bail in a Mumbai sessions court.
Rakhi had filed a police complaint against Mika, accusing him of "forcibly kissing her" at his birthday party in Mumbai on June 11.
The enraged item girl also alleged that Mika "not only misbehaved with her but also socked her brother in the eye".
Mika had gone into hiding, though police said that his lawyer has approached with a request to grant bail.
The charges slapped against him under are Section 354 of IPC (molestation) and Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code (assault) and are bailable offences.
Mika's lawyer will ask the Mumbai police to grant bail to his client.
