Milan to hold talks with City over Tevez

Goal.com

Milan: AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani will fly to England on Thursday to engage in talks with Manchester City over the transfer of Carlos Tevez, Sky Sport 24 reports.

The Italian champions have identified the unsettled Argentine as their priority to bolster their attacking department, which is currently in need of some strengthening as Antonio Cassano is recovering from a heart surgery.

Galliani revealed on Saturday that Milan had reached an agreement with Tevez but noted his side had not yet received a response from the Premier League club on their loan offer with the option to buy the 27-year-old outright at the end of the campaign.

With City yet to comment on Milan's proposal, the San Siro outfit have reportedly grown tired of waiting and have taken matters into their own hands to speed up the negotiation process.

Inter are also keen to sign Tevez, but it is believed that they have fallen behind their city rivals in the race for the former Manchester United star.

Tevez, who moved to City in 2009, has been frozen out of the squad after refusing to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.
