Mining firms, MLA's properties raided in Bellary

Bellary: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday conducted raids at the office and residence of Karnataka MLA Nagendra from Bellary.

Nagendra is a member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka.

The raids have been conducted in connection with the illegal mining in Bellary.

The Karnataka CBI also raided the administration and HR offices of Jindal Steels in Bellary in connection with the illegal mining.

According to reports, the Karnataka CBI raided seven places, including some mining companies, in Bellary to support the investigation into the illegal mining scam.
