New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed in a Bangalore court a chargesheet against former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and his sons for receiving bribes in an illegal mining case.
Yeddyurappa is accused of receiving Rs 20 crores for favouring several mining companies.
Meanwhile, there is speculation in BJP circles in Karnataka that the party leadership might announce a new chief for the state unit soon as a rebuff to Yeddyurappa, who has been trying for the post since he was forced to give up chief ministership July last year over mining bribery charges.
