Click to play videoMumbai: A 14-year-old reported to Mumbai police on Tuesday that she was raped by her mother's live-in boyfriend. The 35-year-old man has been arrested and admitted to raping his live-in girlfriend's minor daughter. The girl is now allegedly two-months pregnant.
The girl alleged she was raped by her mother's boyfriend man, who she looked up to as a father figure a period of six months. She confided in her friend who encouraged her to file a complaint at the Malad police station.
The victim and her mother have both given their statements to the police. The minor found the courage to report the incident after she saw the story of the two girls who turned in their father, a Mira Road businessman in the city for raping them at the behest of the family tantrik.
"The girl's mother used to got to work during the day and that is when he got the opportunity to be alone with her. She used to threaten her if she told her mother he would kill them both," said Senior Police Inspector, Malad Police Station, Maruti Shenghare.
