Mumbai: While entire India was solemnly observing the first anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks on November 26, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Shiv Sena were engaged in a ‘poster war’ to show who cares more for the victims of 26/11.
In this process they even disrespected the memory of a slain commando.
Slain NSG commando Gajendra Singh’s name appeared on one of the posters put up by MNS but the person in the picture was not Gajendra but another NSG commando who is still alive.
“See our karyakartas (party workers) might have put up the posters on 25th night that is why they made this mistake but this should not have happened,” says MNS spokesperson Sirish Parkar.
While MNS made the mistake of mixing identities, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress chose the Mumbai terror attacks anniversary to openly attack each other on the issue of ex-gratia to the martyrs’ families and gain political points.
