But it's here that the story gets curiouser. CNN-IBN found that Ajay's father lives in a typical lower middle class house in Hazipur, with no signs of ill-gotten wealth. What's more, this teary-eyed octogenarian couple remains locked in their home fearing physical assault by their son. Worse, Ajay Kumar has allegedly beaten his parents publicly in the past.
As being part of Anna brigade has become the latest fad, there's no check on credentials of people who join this brigade, participate in dharnas and protests, and use this platform for their personal gains.
It's clear now that Ajay Kumar's campaign is no campaign at all - but how many more such cases are there of those who use the plank of corruption and the credibility that Anna Hazare's name lends - for their own purposes?
